About Arick Davis
Arick Davis is a Grand Rapids native growing up on the southeast side of town. After graduating from Grand Rapids Public Schools, he attended Grand Rapids Community College before getting his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Michigan Technological University. After graduating, Arick worked for the University to help recruit, retain, and mentor minority and under-represented students.
Arick is also the co-founder of Last Mile Cafe, a coffee concept based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that set out to redefine the narrative of coffee to be inclusive, sustainable, and transparent. His passion for bringing together people has led him to be well-recognized in Grand Rapids.
Arick has served on several boards in the community and across Michigan, including Code for Good West Michigan, Fulton Street Farmers Market, the Arts Marketplace, and the Michigan Tech Alumni Board of Directors. His business, Last Mile Cafe, has seen outstanding traction in the first year, and recently earned B-Corp certification. He presently has a role at People First Economy as their Impact Manager, helping other business owners be Good for Michigan.
Finally, Arick is an alumni of both the Emerging Leaders and Leadership Grand Rapids classes offered by the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce and has been passionate about sharing his experiences to help others fufill their dreams.
